  • Descrizione: Old-Chronis, a drunken shepherd, and his daughter Lenio work for the chief-shepherd Kostas Ntavaris. Lenio is in love with Dimos, a poor young man, and they dream about their future together. When Dimitros, the chief shepherd’s son, returns, he seduces Lenio but does not keep his promise to marry her. Instead, he intends to marry the daughter of the chief shepherd of the nearby village. However, on the day of the wedding, Dimitros is murdered. Before he dies, he whispers Lenio’s name. Dimos takes full responsibility for the murder in order to save his beloved. A year later, Karafiotias the bandit is fatally wounded, and, before dying, he confesses that it was he who murdered Dimitros. Dimos is released from prison and stays with Lenio for ever.
